A Southern Nuclear employee, Clint serves as a consultant to X-energy providing program management guidance for both the X-energy Reactor power plant development and fuel development. Clint works closely with X-energy to clearly define the work scope of the projects, monitor the work performance, and measure progress toward accomplishment of technical and financial objectives. Clint does this through encouraging that milestone dates are achieved by advising on resource needs, determining whether budgets are adequate and well controlled, monitoring the quality of the engineering deliverables via independent reviews and challenge boards, and overseeing project status reports.
Clint brings 27 years of nuclear energy experience to the X-energy team and offers over 12 years of experience with Southern Nuclear, a subsidiary of Southern Company. Clint has held several positions within the Southern Nuclear corporate office, at Farley Nuclear Plant, and most recently at Vogtle 3 and 4. During his time with Southern Nuclear, Clint has managed four newly established organizations, including oversight of the development of all governing processes and procedures as well as recruitment of the proper talent to staff these teams. Clint’s work history in nuclear energy has allowed him the opportunity to support 44 operating nuclear energy units in the US during his career and prior to joining Southern in an Architect/Engineering firm as a performance testing consultant. Clint received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University.
